Hossack is a Canadian-born Steinbach. Her family lived at Killarney Manitoba and took part in musical theatre plays as a student. After starting her studies at Brandon University, she was an aspiring pianist. The major she was pursuing changed to voice. She then tried drama and then later admitted that she only was interested in acting when she was done with her degree. She pursued fine arts studies at the Banff School of Fine Arts after graduating Brandon. When she completed her college education, Hossack performed on the stage of her first festival, the Muskoka Festival in Ontario as well as the Rainbow Stage on the stage in Winnipeg. Other World (from 1989 to 1992), Cobra (from 1993-1992), Hope Island, (1999) as well as Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (2003). She starred in 2006 in the role of Falcon Beach for Canadian TV. Hossack made guest appearances on television shows like Sliders, Mysterious Ways, and Mysterious Ways. In the TV series Reaper she was Mrs. Oliver.
