Anamaria Marinca bio

Anamaria Martinca is an actress from Romania. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. Her mother was a violinist and her father is a theater professor in one of Romania's best theater schools. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. She was chosen as the first European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. The actress was an academic in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu. bAnamaria is a Romanian actress who was born on the 01st of April 1978, Iasi Romania. An actress with Romanian descent Anamaria Marinca made her debut in film in the TV series British-Canadian Sex Traffic for which she received the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Her debut film Sex Traffic was awarded an award from the British Academy of Television, in the category of Best Actress. She also won numerous awards for her role in 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. She was in 2007 the lead role in on the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days), produced by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was another film where she starred. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar in the BBC 5-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular on the Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. She played Irma in Fury 2014, in which she played the role of a German known aunt for Emma.
